My Swap Haul – Outfit Three.

Outfit number three is a two-parter. The first part is this amazing swing jacket from Evans. A size 24 – which denotes its age because Evans 24 jackets have got smaller over the last few years. I have been looking for a jacket like this for ages so I’m very happy to have found it!

When the Beth Ditto range launched this time last year, I couldn’t really afford all the bits I wanted – so I made do with just getting the denim skirt. Over the past year, I’ve managed to get the heart print skirt and the hanky hem top in the sale – but subsequently sold both on eBay – and the velvet dress from eBay. I have been longing for the rose print dress ever since I saw Lauren and Em rock it this time last year. I’m only a year behind! hah! I’m not sure it works with the ivory tights and brown loafers. I will need to have a re-think.

  1. I wish I’d seen that dress it looks great on you, it seems a perfect fit! That was my coat and I think you’re right about the Evans sizes having changed. It’s probably about 5 years old and I reckon the sizes are 1/2 – 1 size smaller now.

    • See there I am thinking I’ve put loads of weight on – suddenly after yrs of wearing size 22-24 im now wearing more & more 26-28 & its coz of bloody Evans sizing! Gerr.

I can’t remember who tried the dress on 1st – maybe Sally & it was too big & I practically snatched it out of Amanda’s hand when Sally handed it back! Aggression clearly won out🙂

    • I wore the dress on Monday with black tights and darker loafers and it looked fab. LOVE the dress.

I’m waiting for it to be cool enough for the jacket. Its silly how many coats I have for the winter – my dead rat (faux fur), my ASOS cape, red biker jacket, leather bomber jacket & this one! I will have one for every day!

  2. I LOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEEEEE the dress on you. Seriously looks amazing. I might try it with either bare legs and ballet flats, black knee high boots, or black leggings and flats. If the color is a navy (I can’t quite tell) then red or burgundy would look great. Red and yellow shoes secretly go with everything!
