This weekend saw the husband and I at our fourth wedding this year. We have two more to go before the year is out. I’ve not been very good at getting photos of my outfits so far. So I made an extra effort for this wedding – especially because it was one of the husband’s closest friends getting hitched.
Here’s what WE wore – because the husband look super funky in his outfit too:
Peplum top – c/o Simply Be
Skirt – H&M
Shoes – New Look
Suit – Next
Shirt – River Island
Brogues – Next
Simply Be were kind enough to send me the top – along side the matching trousers – when I wondered aloud on Twitter about what I was going to wear to six weddings. So far I have worn the trousers and a blazer to one wedding and now the top has been worn and I still have a couple of combos to go – including the all out double whammy of both the top and trousers. I didn’t love this outfit, I felt dumpy in it. Which is a shame because on paper it should have been very classic.
The wedding was great – despite me being the designated driver and the husband having man flu – and the bride looked absofuckinglutely stunning. The groom scrubbed up ok too! Here are some of the shots I took of the day:
The vows – there was a lot about Sayaka watching her temper and Richard being supportive…!
Confetti time – I was out of focus but I still think it looks cool.
The Bride’s sisters in kimono
Sayaka looked divine! Like Grace Kelly!
Waiting to cut the cake. Richard looking dapper in his suit.
This picture reminds me of one of Jackie Kennedy & JFK on their wedding day
The first dance …
With a twist!! It started off slow and traditional and then launched into a J-pop dance off! BEST wedding dance EVER!
Richard knew ALL the moves!
And was clearly loving it! Maybe he should have been in a boyband…???!
And photobombing the couple’s shots. Whoops! But you can see the dress in all its glory.
