Give It Some Wellie!

Wellies – c/o of Jileon

Jumper – Very.co.uk

Denim shirt (just seen) – Simply Be

Pu leggings – ASOS

As with boots, wellies have been something I have admired from a far for years due to my chunky little monkey legs. However, the people at Jileon have been working hard to improve their wide fit wellie selection. Back at the beginning of year, I was contacted – along with a few other bloggers – and asked my opinion on patterns and style. I was then promised a pair of wellies to review – fast forward six months and I got the pair above in late September.

I took them away to wear when I went away for my birthday on a canal boat and they were great! Kept my feet warm and dry as I was running between locks and jumping on and off the boat onto muddy canal paths. The outfit above is the one I wore last weekend to host our belated 5th wedding anniversary and bonfire party. I was sick on our actual anniversary date (1 September) so we re-arranged the garden party to coincide with our local fireworks display. It was still a garden party Рour chimera came in very useful so wellies were needed to keep me warm! Especially when we walked up to the heath and stood in the cold watching the amazing display!

The boots are a great fit – with plenty of room for my big ol’ chunky calves – and I could easily wear jeans tucked in. The only thing I would say isn’t great, is the buckle which helps adjust the width of the boot. Its fiddly to do up by yourself and I had to get the husband to help me, it would be better if it was an actual buckle rather than a loop. Apart from that, I couldn’t be happier with the wellies!

Bring on those puddles!

  1. I absolutely LOVE this outfit on you! It’s like a mix of girly girl and toughness. How were the leggings? I have been eyeballing them for a while and am just undecided but loving the fit on you.
