Courts, Buddhists and Babysham

The Husband and I attended the Husband’s oldest friend’s wedding earlier this week. It was held at Hampton Court House, which was a very impressive venue and as the bride is a Buddhist, it was a Buddhist ceremony rather than a traditional affair. It made a bit more interesting. Here are a few pictures caught on mine and the Husband’s phones (we didn’t take the camera!):

The bride & groom offer gifts to Buddha

They then bow to each other

Babysham for the toast – complete with straw!

Lastly – what I wore – because that’s why you all read this blog right? For my outfits!

Daisy headband – Accessorize

Dress –  c/o Yours Clothing

Shrug – Simply Be

Shawl (just seen) – Evans

Both the dress and the shrug have sat in my wardrobe with the labels still on for goodness knows how long. The dress was courtesy of Yours Clothing when they tried to start up a blogger affiliation, which never really got off the ground. The shrug I bought to wear to a wedding last year (maybe the year before?!) but changed my outfit last minute. Anyway, a wedding at Hampton Court House seemed a suitable venue to wear what I think to be my most sophisticated outfit. The dress is amazing and certainly not the usual semi-cheap looking item from Yours. As I’ve said in the past, it does have some gems – but they are few and far between. The only downfall of the dress was the length! Its really really long and even in wedges I was tripping on it. That said, this outfit will be worn to the other wedding I am going to in October.

The outfit shots were taken on our way home as we didn’t quite manage to get any taken during the day!

  1. Looks like a lovely day – You and the Mr look fab. The dress is very pretty, you are right about Yours, can be hit and miss but seems like you got a goodie there. xXx
