This week’s Five Take challenge was to wear something featuring a geometric print. However, this week hasn’t been the best – only Becky and Gina have managed to post. Rebecca is sick, Nicole is moving and me? Well I don’t actually have anything with geometric print (actually maybe this is geometric print? Oh well too late now)!
So instead today, I am wearing an ancient floral tunic dress and my NEW JACKET I picked up Michelle from Red Bows Boutiques‘ clothes swap yesterday:
Jacket – vintage
Dress – Evans via eBay
Long Sleeved t-shirt – Dorothy Perkins
Michelle held a small gathering yesterday at her house – which is about 10 minutes drive from me. It consisted of a swap, cakes courtesy of The Vintage Cake Company, loads of Red Bows stock, food made by everyone and other like minded fatties – including Sally . I managed to get a good little haul – two woollen skirts – a pencil one & a midi a-line one, a few tops, the jacket!, a studded tunic and a fascinator.
The jacket is an amazing fit – the buttons do all the way up without gaping (rare with me) and the arms hit me in the right place. And the piping – oh how I love the yellow piping and buttons. I rocked an 80′s/Shoreditch look today (I think!).
It was also amazing to spend the afternoon running around in my underwear, chatting to amazing women, eating to die for cake and trying on clothes. I also drove all the way there – on my own on busy roads on a Sunday! Picked people up, dropped people off! I felt very proud of myself! All in all a good Sunday.
So I may have failed to put on something which contains a geometric print but achieved other great things instead!
Don’t forget to check out what the others managed to wear!

I love it! The buttons really make it. Sounds like a great day and LOOK AT YOU MS. DRIVER!
It might be a geometric fail but not a fashion fail! I wouldn’t have picked this dress out in Evans but like it on you here. Really like the way you have picked out the darker blue with the leggings.

Thanks Wendy! I don’t ever remember seeing the dress in Evans but found it on eBay. I haven’t worn it for a while because it creases like a whosit!
I had a few geometric prints but realized (too late) that they didn’t make past the closet purge… that I did 2-3 days before this challenge. Oops!
Might not be geometric, but like Wendy said – definitely not a fashion fail. I love the jacket on you! Looks like such a great piece, for work and more casual outfits.
